The Friends have been able to offer major support to the Musée de Cluny thanks to the generosity of individuals and businesses who either :
• make regular contributions
• or assume all or part of the cost of an acquisition, a restoration campaign, an exhibition, a publication or the renovation of a room of the museum.
Since 1996, the museum has benifited from the generosity of patrons
• who have donated works of art : Tête d’homme from Notre-Dame (Natexis) and made possible the acquisition of a reliquary from Limoges (CNP Assurances) and of an ivory casket (Groupama), both classified as national treasures
|
|
• who have contributed or are presently contributing to projects such as the restoration of the Pilier des nautes (Compagnie des bateaux mouches), the restoration of the Pilier de Saint-Landry (C. Giacomotto), the acquisition of the Catalan Sainte Femme (AREVA), the restoration of the corbels of the Frigidarium (Lafarge), and concerts (Caisse des dépôts) ;
• or who provide regular contributions : Groupe Prévoir, Gimar Finance, Cosmos Gestion, Charterhouse, la Fondation BNP Paribas, Guyenne et Gascogne, SCOR, Lansdowne Partners, MACSF.
Other institutions have also offered their support, including Fondation Gaz de France (the complete restoration of our collection of 300 stained glass windows), Fondation EDF (nocturnal lighting of the Hôtel de Cluny), and the Sénat.
